The
Flour Girl

THE FLOUR GIRL is a bakery offering an array of customized cakes and pastries with specialties like their Upside Down Ice Cream Cake, Fried Chicken Cake, Naughty-tella Drip Cake, Pumpkin Carrot Cake and Hundred Gram Cookies.
The Flour Girl was established by Nicole Allyson Uy after graduating and receiving her diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts at the International Culinary Center (formerly known as The French Culinary Institute), New York in October 2011.
She completed her internship with Chef Benny Rivera of City Cakes NY where she learned cupcake and cake decorating as well as the intricacies of operating a bakeshop.
Nicole also trained in chocolate confections at Sweet Bliss by Ilene Shane in Manhattan where she worked on Lady Gaga Workshop items sold at Barney’s. Towards the end of her stay in NYC, she worked as a retail associate at the Grandaisy Bakery in SoHo.
A year after Nicole got back to Manila from New York, she established a small home bakery called The Flour Girl which luckily grew from a small booth at one of the weekend markets in Manila, the Baker's Dozen in Powerplant Mall, and into a coffee shop at D’Ace Plaza Building, Kapitolyo, Pasig.
From a few varieties of cupcakes, brownies and bars and one cake flavor, Nicole has been able to expand her dessert menu as she incorporated local flavors, with French techniques and her unique appetite to create one-of-a-kind treats to meet the demands of Filipino sweet-lovers.
